The moon heard her. He leaned down gently and whispered: "I am watching over you, Lucija. I will keep you safe all night long."
The stars twinkled and joined in: "And we love you too. Every time you close your eyes, we shine a little brighter — just for you."
A warm breeze drifted in through the open window and brushed Lucija's cheeks. "And I bring you dreams," it whispered, "the softest, loveliest dreams of all."
Lucija smiled and hugged her soft pillow. In her heart she felt a warmth — as if the whole world, from the moon to the smallest firefly, was whispering the same word: loved.
For Lucija was loved. Loved when she laughed and loved when she cried. Loved in the morning, loved at night, loved in every heartbeat of her mama Ivana and her papa Marko.
And as her eyes slowly closed, the moon drew a soft blanket of clouds, the stars sang their quiet lullaby, and Lucija drifted into sleep — safe, warm, and loved more than words could ever say.
